The room was very clean and fresh smelling. There was a big window which provided fresh air from an internal building lightwell. Also, a desk a chair, a clean comfortable bed with clean sheets and blankets, a small wall mounted space heater, a fan, clean iron and ironing board, small very clean Fridge and Microwave as well + very clean private bathroom. There was not much of a view, but that's not what I cared about. I was touring "multiple-views" of San Francisco every day during my 4 day stay at the hotel as part of a vast nearby National Design convention with 6,000 (yes thousand) attendees in the nearby South of market District of San Francisco. Their building is in an older legacy area near Chinatown that was an "easy" 15 to 25 minute walk down-hill to all of the convention activities and events, both scheduled and non-scheduled. The hotel had "kind" computer-typed messages posted everywhere on the walls re how to stay safely and respectfully in such an old, renovated facility, including how not to cause problems with an older "grandfathered-in" plumbing system. The bathroom was outstandingly clean and functioned perfectly provided you read the writings on the walls and followed the instructions respectfully and "properly". But for all of that attention to respectful detail, I got a quiet, very safe place to stay (at reasonable, moderate cost) that was shielded from the busy economically unequal city outside around me, that despite its jaw-dropping architectural and natural beauty, has terrible social problems. Homelessness was visible on every surrounding block in a radius of the entire "jewel" of urban design and late 20th century master-planning including what happens when the homeless are left out of society without sustainable drinking water and food and safe modern, clean toilets that they can use safely and with human "dignity".

This is a vintage establishment, nestled in the heart of the city, offers a unique and nostalgic ambiance that transports you to a bygone era. This charming locale is a delightful departure from the modern hustle and bustle, with its classic interior and warm, inviting atmosphere. The vintage aesthetics provide a sense of history and character that is both comforting and captivating. Conveniently located at the epicenter of the city, everything you need is just a stone's throw away. Whether it's vibrant local shops, renowned dining establishments, or cultural attractions, you'll find them all within easy reach. So, while the place may not boast the latest trends or sleek modernity, it exudes a character and charm that is truly timeless. It's a hidden gem that promises a cozy, memorable experience in the heart of the city.

The location in downtown, San Francisco...! I was invited to participate in a five-day long scientific convention at the magnificent Moscone Center, and the Hotel, for its price, was so affordable and so conveniently located...! The Room was indeed a small one, but convenient. Upon request they installed a microwave and a fridge, in conformity with Booking.com data on facilities. The Bathroom was sufficiently clean, housekeeping OK and is per demand, that is environment-friendly ! The Hotel also is eco-friendly, and understandably, one must optimize on spac !.

Was expecting the room is as spacious as those provided by a 4 or 5 star hotel. In term of how much I paid, this one met my expectation. The room has limited space but has everything I needed including free speedy Wi-Fi, a soft bed, a table for dining and working, and a cute old-style heater that actually works better than those advanced ones nowadays. The location is good because it’s close to China Town. It’s still not a perfect location because of the safety issue. But in general it’s satisfactory to me. Staffs are very kind.

Staff were very attentive and helpful. The original room I was assigned was a bit awkward and not like the ones in the photos. However, they changed my room as requested and it was much better, with a huge closet and proper TV etc. As I was staying for a week, this was really helpful and made the stay much more comfortable. There is a Starbucks across from it and Chinatown is right at the corner. My friend and I actually even walked to Fisherman's Wharf and I was able to walk to Muscone Center everyday quite easily. Great stay!
